The Dream MUSCLE

Solomon said “Desire realized is sweet to the soul”

When I read desire, it means dreams to me. Where do they come from? Do I have any dreams anymore? Have I gotten out of the habit and why? Are dreams like a muscle and I’ve gotten out of the habit of exercising it? How do I restart dreaming?

All these questions got me thinking...

I remember when I was getting out of college and I had several dreams. One was get a job and the second buy a Camaro. I feel a little embarrassed admitting this because I like the looks of some cars, but it is not a priority of what kind of car I drive today. In fact if I didn’t see the make, I could not tell you what kind of car it is, but I knew what a Camaro looked like back then.

When I was thinking...

When I was thinking about this dream, it got me thinking about what other dreams I have had in my life. Get married, have children, fix up the house, go on trips, learn a skill. When these happened or didn’t happen, then what? Did I give up? What happened if it did happen, but in a different way than I had imagined? I wrestle with all this. The dreams that have not happened have somehow communicated failure to my brain or that it is too hard to dream and so I quit.Yet I can’t quit. Not until the door closes completely.

How about YOU?
